Welcome to Intel Mixx Blog ..
Even though winter is still giving us plenty of snow and cold conditions, it’s never too early to think about getting your backyard ready for spring and summer weather and the entertainment options they provide. In fact, winter is a great time to make some purchases and some plans, so you are ready when it gets warm. As you are gearing up for the warm weather, which is coming soon, here are some things you can do.
Once the snow has melted for good, you are going to find a bit of a mess underneath. Taking the time to clean up a bit will help improve your outdoor entertaining experiences. Grab a leaf blower to blow away any wayward fall leaves, and then get a trimmer to trim up your shrubs. Throw away any trash that was hiding out under the snow, and toss all of the sticks that fell during the winter into the trash or your compost heap.
Start Planning Your Garden
A garden, whether one to grow food or just one for flowers, is an ideal way to spruce up your space. Even if you are planting a vegetable garden, you can still use landscaping to make it an attractive part of your hard, and as an added bonus you will have healthy things to eat. Take the time now to research the best plants to grow in your area and to make plans for the location and landscaping of your garden, so when the ground is thawed enough you can go to work.
Add Outdoor Entertainment
Do you have kids? Why not invest in a swing set to make the backyard fun for them? If you don’t have kids, invest in some outdoor games, like croquet or badminton, that the adults you entertain can enjoy. Make your backyard a fun place to play, and your family will spend much more time outside enjoying it.
Spruce up Your Deck
If you have a deck, consider having it stained or cleaned. If you don’t have one, consider adding one. A deck gives you a place to entertain, and it also dresses up your outdoor space quite well. Make it as elaborate or simple as you like to match your own tastes.
Invest in Patio Furniture
That deck will be more useful if you have some furniture for it. Invest in some patio furniture to give you a place to sit and eat when you are outside. Keep in mind that your patio furniture does not have to be nothing but chairs. Add a trellis, gazebo or even a fire pit to give your backyard some pizzazz and make it more comfortable for entertaining. A fire pit can expand the usefulness of your yard as well, giving you space to use beyond the deck or patio.
Winter is here now, but it wall be gone soon. By taking some time to plan now, you can be ready when the warmer weather comes. Your backyard can be an extension of your home, a fun gathering place for friends and family to meet throughout the spring and summer.
