Welcome to Intel Mixx Blog ..
I have always been a fan of leggings. They are comfortable, slimming and ever-stylish. You can wear them to work or out at night, dressing them up or down depending on your day. The only problem is that because they are fairly thin material usually you have to wear a dress or skirt over the top of them. Sometimes, you want to have the comfort of legging but the modesty protection factor of other trousers, such as jeans. Enter jeggings.
Jeggings, that cross-breed between jeans and leggings, do sometimes get a hard time of it. The skinny jegging is in my mind one of the finest modern inventions. Comfortable and sexy at the same time, they allow you to pull off looking hot without any of the discomfort you may experience with skinny jeans.
It shocks me to discover that there are lots of people out there that haven’t heard about jeggings! I have always been a fan of the jegging look, but there are many others who struggle on with the usual legging-or-jeans routine.
The fact is, even if you are not super skinny, jeggings allow you to look fashionable. They come in loads of fun colours and patterns. As they are stretchy they allow you to do more stuff in comfort than a normal pair of jeans would, i.e., cycle, do housework, walk the dog, so if you are a busy working Mum like me then they make a sensible choice.
This summer, wearing jeggings makes sense. You can protect your legs from the potential chilly days and evenings we are still possibly going to experience without feeling as restricted as when you wear jeans. They work well with a range of summery tops and look good with espadrilles or sandals. If you are travelling abroad on holiday, packing some jeggings for the travel time and for evenings out will ensure you have a comfortable trip and stay.
Now, usually, I am not one to give fashion advice. I think people should be free to make up their own minds about how to wear clothes. However, in the case of jeggings, there are certain pointers which will help an inexperienced fashionista to wear the jeggings with style and confidence.
OK, so jeggings aren’t leggings, but they’re still pretty tight. Soooo, you might not want to wear them without something to cover your posterior such as a long top. This is a slimming look as well!
Jeggings may make you sweat on very hot days, so best to avoid this.
Jeggings should not be put in the tumble dryer.
It’s best not to pair jeggings with trainers.
Remember to match your jeggings to the rest of your outfit, so no wearing blue jeggings with a brown top half!
Bear these tips in mind and you will look great when you are rocking your jeggings this summer!
